I had the opportunity to photograph this thoughtful and quietly inventive home by Knott Architects — a subtle yet impactful reworking of a North London terrace. Working closely with the architecture, the project brings new life to the heart of the house, with a light-filled kitchen, dining, and living space that opens out to the garden through generous glazing.
As an architectural photographer, I love the play of natural light against the wood tones in this project, with the bold blue adding the perfect contrast in the kitchen.
This was a project about nuance and restraint — minimal extension, maximum impact — and a pleasure to photograph at every level.
